Ian Pope, Founder

Ian Pope is a highly experienced strategy and communications advisor with more than 20 years' experience working across international markets in crisis and issues management, corporate reputation, and executive coaching. He has held senior leadership positions in some of the world's leading communications and marketing companies, including more recently as Australian Group Managing Director at Edelman, the world's largest public relations firm. 

A trusted adviser he has extensive experience advising CEOs and boards of listed and private companies. His areas of specialty include corporate positioning, crisis management, financial communications and corporate restructuring.  He has been appointed to a number of high-profile situations including for AIG during the Fed bailout, the Lindt Cafe Sydney siege, Swire Pacific, News Corp, Volkswagen Group, Warburg Pincus, Samsung Electronics, Arrium and more. He has also conducted strategy development, media and crisis training for leadership teams at more than one hundred ASX and Fortune 500 companies.

Ian holds multiple business interests outside of Greystone. He is the founder of a New South Wales-based property development company and is the owner of a luxury eco-resort in Byron Bay, Australia. He is passionate about using his experience to support emerging leaders and currently works pro-bono with a wide range of early-stage companies and their founders.
